This shop has been shut for some time due to the owner needing surgery, but also unfortunately due to a family bereavement. It re-opened on 5th August and I’ve been meaning to go. The shop is in Eastcote, not far from Ruislip. You can park in the side streets nearby.

I ordered a double double at £10.50 and added a cup of tea at £1.50. A single is £7. The staff are very friendly.
The pies are made on site and they are different to other pies I’ve had. The liquor is authentically made from eel stock. The pastry was nice and crisp, and tasted much like the suet pastry on a steak and kidney pudding. The pastry was delicious. The filling was just as good. The liquor was gelatinous and complemented the food well. The mash was creamy. The pies were well filled. Everything was hot and full of flavour. I couldn’t find any faults.
I sat with a fellow pie and mash aficionado, and we were talking a lot. As a result, I forgot to put chilli vinegar on one pie. I tasted the chilli vinegar afterwards and it had a kick.
It’s good to see this shop open again and you should definitely make the effort to go. A couple at the table next to me maintained it’s the best pie and mash in the country. One bit of advice though: if you want eels, ring ahead and book. The customers of this shop love eels and they sell out fast.
